Philadelphia Museum of Art: Research and Technical Study
While working as an intern in the Furniture and Woodwork Conservation Lab at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, I had the opportunity to engage in a variety of research and technical study, under the supervision of Behrooz Salimnejad, Senior Conservator of Furniture and Woodwork, and Peggy Olley, Associate Conservator of Furniture and Woodwork, and I collaborated frequently with Conservation Photographer Jason Wierzbicki in carrying out technical examination using X-radiography and ultraviolet light illumination. I also worked in consultation with Senior Conservation Scientist Dr. Kate Duffy as I continued my research of rabbit skin glues in collaboration with Catherine Matsen and Dr. Rosie Grayburn at Winterthur Museum and the University of Delaware.
